His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimour received at Al Alam Palace several GCC leaders and ministers from across the world to mourn the death of late HM, Sultan Qaboos on Monday.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham received the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani of Qatar and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai.
The leaders expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy. They prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the deceased’s soul in peace in paradise, and grant His Majesty Sultan Haitham, the Royal family and the Omani people patience. They also prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant His Majesty Sultan Haitham success to continue leading the march initiated by the late Sultan.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the leaders and their accompanying delegation for their heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy.

H H Sheikh Saud bin Rashid al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Umm al Quwain, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H E Saqr Ghobash, Chairman of the Federal National Council of the UAE and the high level delegation accompanying them.
Those who arrived to offer condolences on the demise of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said, during their meeting with His Majesty Sultan Haitham, expressed their sincere condolences and called on God Almighty to grace the late HM with his mercy to dwell in His gardens and to inspire HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Royal Family and the Omani people with patience and solace.
For his part, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the visitors for their sinc-ere condolences and sympathy, calling on the Almighty to spare them and the brotherly Emirati people all misfortune.
