Flu fighter – Turmeric Milk

If you want to fight flus and build up your immunity with a good dose of quick working antioxidants, this turmeric milk drink is what you need.

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½tsp turmeric powder
  • ½tsp pepper powder
  • 2cm piece cinnamon
  • 1tsp grated ginger
  • 1tsp honey or crushed jaggery


Take two cups of milk in a vessel, add turmeric, pepper, cinnamon and grated ginger to it.  Boil on low flame, stirring continuously. When fragrant, add crushed jaggery or honey, mix and turn off flame. Cool slightly and drink it warm.
