Working from home… it’s Wow, Meow!

For some people in Muscat, the lockdown period is definitely a time for working from home, but also an opportunity to stay connected with pets.

I’ve learnt to let go

Alfa Vold, CEO, Canadian Jebel K9

I am so happy that I can continue my work through these difficult and uncertain times – caring for and training dogs which keeps me active. As I cannot meet with clients in the conventional way I have had to find new ways of communicating with them, so I have been using new applications for video chatting and other social media to stay in contact with clients, friends and family. I have learnt to let go and live in the moment, reading, having fun, trying new recipes and having fun training dogs.

I’m productive and peaceful

Emily Shotter, communications specialist

During this time I am actually very occupied – in fact, more so than I normally would be from a work perspective. I’d say I am working longer hours and am busier! But that’s a good thing in many ways. I find working from home productive and also peaceful. It means I also get to spend additional time with my cats. While they are asleep, I would normally socialise, spent more time on my photography as well as social media. And, I do try to get out for some fresh air, now and then.
